Takeaways from CFMA 2019
As a fleet management provider, we at Union Leasing are constantly exhibiting around the country at different conferences, to share how we can be a solution for your companies’ vehicles. Recently, we attended the Construction Finance Management Associations’ Annual Conference and Exhibition at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Nevada.
For the last several years, we have found this event to be an amazing opportunity to discover and implement ideas that deliver results in the construction industry. The conference trains your mind to search for innovative solutions and attendees have countless opportunities to make valuable connections with other construction/financial professionals, like Union Leasing.
Typically, we use this event to not only meet new potential customers, but as a learning curve as to what the industry is looking for in a fleet management provider, and the challenges they face on a day to day basis with their vehicles.
After listening to their challenges, we suggest alternatives, and briefly outlined the uniqueness of the Union Leasing Fleet Management value proposition. As with most business leaders who look have a better understanding of where their money is spent, we discussed general areas where they have the best opportunities to control those costs.
For the attendees of this event, there were plenty of sessions for them to continue their knowledge in this unique industry. We were able to be present for the following meetings:
- Best practices in Equipment & Fleet Management
- Maximizing the Benefits of Current Tax Law
- The Power of One: How one attitude, One Action, & One Person Can Change the World
- Developing Leaders Worth Following
- Emerging Issues Update
- Engage Your Employees Through Training Programs
We were especially interested the Fleet Management highlights, as seasoned experts reviewed insight including tracking methods, own vs lease, replacement schedules, and utilization parameters, all of which Union Leasing is a trusted expert.
We at Union Leasing pride ourselves on being a “high-touch” company. We focus on being on the other end of the phone, working with our partners every step of the way. You will not speak to a computer when you become a customer with us. Attending events such as these demonstrate this brand goal, as we met so many people at the conference who were willing to talk about their businesses, the relationship their fleet has to meeting company goals, and some of the decisions of whether to buy with cash from retained earnings, finance vs lease, and when to replace an aging fleet.
The conference was extremely well attended with business leaders representing almost every state. We’d like to thank CFMA for putting on a great event, and look forward to attending next year in Washington DC!
